EDI capabilities

Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) is the exchange of routine business transactions in a computer-processed format, covering such traditional applications as purchasing, acknowledgements, pricing, order status, shipping and receiving, invoices, payments, and financial reporting. EDI can be used to exchange many kinds of business documents with the trading partners. The most common examples include purchase orders, acknowledgements, advance shipment notices and invoices.

New Age Logistics, Inc. supports the following EDI transaction sets

  • 810 – Invoice
  • 812 – Credit/Adjustment Advice
  • 820 – Payment Order/Remittance Advice
  • 824 – Application Advice
  • 846 – Warehouse Stock Inquiry/Advice
  • 850 – Purchase Order
  • 856 – Advance Ship Notice
  • 860 – Purchase Order Change
  • 864 – Text (Store Address Information)
  • 940 – Warehouse Shipping Order
  • 943 – Warehouse Stock Transfer Shipment Advice
  • 944 – Warehouse Stock Transfer Receipt Advice
  • 945 – Warehouse Shipping Advice
  • 997 – Functional Acknowledgement.

The Functional Acknowledgement transaction set provides a positive response that informs the sender if the contest of the transmission was correct syntactically, according to the standard.

EDI allows businesses to exchange business documents quickly and easily. EDI replaces the error-prone and time-consuming exchange of paper documents. An EDI partnership supports the efficient use of time, money and resources. EDI enables companies to exchange data rapidly, reduce the cost per business transaction by eliminating manual data re-entry and providing order information faster to the customer.

We send ASN's directly to our customers or directly to the retailers on behalf of our customers. For example, we are sending ASN's (856 EDI set) to Costco, Lowe's, Bed Bath & Beyond, Target, Home Depot...

We are printing UCC-128 shipping labels for (roughly 50) different retailers.
